What is the CSV Viewer?

The CSV Viewer transforms raw CSV (Comma-Separated Values) data into an interactive, sortable table right in your browser. CSV is a plain-text format defined by RFC 4180 and is one of the most widely used formats for exchanging tabular data between applications, databases, and spreadsheet programs. Unlike spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets, this viewer requires no installation or account and works entirely client-side, meaning your data never leaves your device. Upload a file or paste CSV text to instantly visualize your data with column headers, proper alignment, and row numbering. The tool auto-detects delimiters including comma, semicolon, and tab characters, making it compatible with regional CSV variants and TSV files. It supports column sorting (both alphabetic and numeric), global search across all columns, configurable pagination, and the ability to download filtered results as a new CSV file. This makes it ideal for quick data inspection, log file analysis, and previewing datasets without heavy software.

How to Use the CSV Viewer

  1. Upload a CSV file or paste CSV text into the input area.
  2. Click 'Load' or upload to display the data as a table.
  3. Click column headers to sort. Use the search bar to filter rows.
  4. Adjust rows per page and navigate with pagination. Download filtered data as CSV.
